Remove a connection. Request data cleanup.

Revoking Instagram access, removing local credentials and handling cloud records are separate steps.

Effective

Instructions only. This page is not an automated Meta data-deletion callback. No deletion action runs when you open it.

1. Stop use and revoke Instagram access

Stop using the connector's tools. To withdraw the app's Meta authorization, open Instagram's Apps and websites settings, find the SparkBridge app authorized for your account and follow Instagram's removal controls. Menu labels may vary.

This is a Meta-side action. It does not erase information already returned to Claude, local files, exports or SparkBridge's connection records. It also does not delete posts, replies or messages already sent through Meta.

2. Remove the local connection

Quit Claude Desktop before using the Connect helper's removal option. The option removes the current managed connection or restores a previous managed connection if one exists. Check which connection remains afterward.

The helper retains credentials and recovery material. Removing a connection, rolling back an installation or revoking a Mac's Connect enrollment does not itself revoke Instagram authorization or delete previously released credentials.

3. Remove local credentials and copies

For credential removal, use macOS Keychain Access or request guided cleanup to identify the relevant SparkBridge Instagram items on your Mac. Reconnects can leave earlier credential items as well as the current item. Remove only the intended items, not your whole Keychain.

Connection metadata, installation/recovery files, previous versions and configuration backups may also remain. Ask for help identifying the relevant files if you want them removed; a backup can contain information for other connectors.

Use Claude's or your other AI client's history/deletion controls for conversations and outputs. Remove copies you exported to files or other tools separately. SparkBridge cannot remotely erase those local or third-party copies through the connector.

4. Request review of SparkBridge-held records

Email adam@sparkbridge-ai.com with:

  • Your Instagram account handle and approximate Connect date.
  • The Mac label or devices involved, if known.
  • Whether you want help revoking access, removing local items, or reviewing SparkBridge-held connection records.

Do not include access tokens, passwords, Keychain contents, full configuration backups or unnecessary private messages. We may need to verify account ownership or your authority to make the request.

Cloud requests need manual review. Connect retains enrollment approvals, account/device connection metadata and security/recovery records; there is no general automatic deletion schedule or self-service erase-all endpoint in this pilot. We must determine what can be removed and what needs to remain for security, recovery or applicable legal obligations, then confirm the outcome and any remaining retention.

Service-provider logs and recovery copies may follow separate retention processes. We do not promise that disconnecting, credential expiry or a request immediately erases every copy.

5. Use the relevant provider's controls too

For Instagram content already published or sent, use Meta's content and account controls. For information stored by an AI provider, use that provider's privacy and deletion process. Disconnecting SparkBridge does not recall messages from recipients or remove those providers' records.

Read the Instagram connector privacy notice for an overview of where processing happens.
